The brief
We had the pleasure of planning, styling and catering Jess’s hens party / kitchen tea in January. As a girl who loves her food and wine a long table dinner with a focus on delicious produce was the perfect solution.
Jess’ bridal party wanted to embrace the Perth summer heat rather than shy away from it, and this, together with the stunning canopy of vines at Pinelli Estate Winery, influenced the Spanish fiesta theme. The outdoor venue space at Pinelli winery provided the perfect setting for a summers afternoon, and as the sun went down the candle light and fairy lights made for a lovely ambience on the balmy night.
The styling
Bright Mediterranean colours introduced in the event stationery were carried through in the linen serviettes, turquoise glassware and beautiful blooms. Antique brass candlesticks and vases added to the Spanish vineyard feel.
The cuisine
The afternoon began with a luscious grazing table spread with imported cured meats, wheels of cheese, local figs, Swan Valley olives and candied almonds.
A generous shared table feast was served for main, in line with the informal, relaxed feel and to encourage conversation and frivolity. Heavily influenced by the flavors of Spain, the banquet style meal meant lots of variety and options to cater for the dietary requirements of all guests.
